PLAY THE DRAFT® is a fantasy game experience for the football draft season. It is easy to play and makes watching the draft more interactive and fun. It’s the off-season, but football doesn’t end - what fantasy football game are you playing this draft season?
Yes. Contests hosted by the game Administrator are free to play, and private leagues can be created by anyone for play with up to 15 participants at no charge during the 2015 Draft Season.
Absolutely. Keep your league together to compete with your friends in the PLAY THE DRAFT® game experience. Through this unique fantasy game experience, you’ll also be better informed about the 2015 rookie class to assist with your fantasy draft around the start of the regular season.
No. If you are an avid fan and fantasy guru, consider creating multiple funds to experiment with different game strategies. Join more than one public contest and invite friends to play in multiple private leagues. More funds = more fun during draft season. The “Dashboard” page will display all of the funds you are currently managing along with their current values and league rankings.
PLAY THE DRAFT® provides a unique and memorable interactive game experience for football fans and is intentionally designed to align with strategic partners interested in non-gambling game experiences. As such, there are no cash prizes offered to contest winners, and there is no way to have a real financial gain or loss by trading fantasy athlete stocks through PLAY THE DRAFT®. All transactions are fantasy transactions. Some contests hosted by the Administrator offer non-cash prizing scenarios with a focus on experiential prizing, so stay tuned for more announcements as new contests start. In the free private leagues, the league manager has the option to display what the league is playing for (e.g. Bragging Rights).
The fantasy draft stocks of athletes competing for selection in the draft are assigned a value based on a proprietary pricing engine that calculates the consensus predictions of actual draft order, represented by the “FRX Index” (e.g. a 3.4 FRX Index means an athlete is trending towards the third overall selection) and the “Price” represents the estimated rookie salary cap figure assigned to that particular selection. Pricing is dynamic and changes overnight as new information on athletes and team needs becomes available. After the 3rd round of the NFL Draft, undrafted athlete stocks are valued at $450,000.
Your total fund value will equal $12,000,000 in fantasy dollars when you begin play; however, a new feature was added to the 2015 game experience that automatically selects random draft stocks for your fantasy portfolio when you enter a contest. If you think one or more of these draft stocks will increase in value, just keep them in your fund. If you think there are some pre-selected draft stocks that are likely to decrease in value, then sell them off quickly and select new stocks around your own game strategy!
